So whats the challenge? 

Ways to take part this year:
  • SWAP one food item from non local to local for the week.
 
  • ​ONE MEAL a day be 95-100% local for the week.
 
  • EAT LOCAL produce for the week, with one trade food item allowed.
 
  • EAT ORGANIC local produce for the week, with one organic trade food item allowed.

​Simple! Any and all people can take part, no matter what your diet. There is local food to suit everyone's taste, whether you love your grilled local haddock, Or enjoy a Jersey made ice-cream, or you'd rather do this plant based and fall in love with Island veggies, there's options for everyone!

Why should you take part?

Food transportation adds negatively to our global pollution, and environmental foot print.

The nutritional value of food thats travelled is far less superior compared to local food, due to the time travelling and the chemicals used to keep it ripe.
